African Print Maxi Skirt
3:39 PMIt seems the African print maxi skirt will continue to be trending for a while. These are gathered skirts that go all the way to your feet or slightly past the ankle. They also go by several names like the regal maxi, queen maxi or just maxi skirt. I tried my hand at a few and made some for some friends. Loved the way they turned out and will definitely be making more.
For my friend Bupe's look I used about 2 1/2 yards of wax print fabric and an elastic band for the back which is optional. You could use a zipper instead. I used this tutorial by cotton and curls and it came out great. Bupe absolutely looked gorgeous, but of course I am bias.
